Museums in Podgorica cover the city's history, contemporary art, natural history and the regional figure of Marko Miljanov. The museum cluster sits across the centre between Slobode Avenue and the embassy quarter, with the centre of contemporary art at Krusevac housed in the former royal residence and running rotating exhibitions of Montenegrin and wider Balkans artists. The natural-history museum and the smaller civic galleries fill the same area.

Entry is one to three euros at most museums; the larger seasonal exhibitions run three to five. Opening hours are typically nine to five Tuesday through Saturday with shorter Sunday hours and most museums closed on Monday. English-language signage is variable, strong at the contemporary-art museum and the larger civic collections, lighter at the smaller specialist galleries. Audio guides are rare. The museum quarter is walkable from the centre in under fifteen minutes.
