Podgorica Directory is the independent online guide to Podgorica, covering restaurants, accommodation, attractions, transport, activities, shopping, health and beauty and services across Stara Varos, the centre, Nova Varos, Tolosi, Zabjelo, Konik and the wider city. The directory is built and maintained by people who actually walk the lanes, sit in the cafes and take the day trips out to Skadar Lake and Ostrog.
Independent of every operator
We refuse commission from any operator, agency, hotel group or booking platform. The Featured marker that a venue can pay for is shown next to the editorial picks on the same page so visitors see both. Every listing rests on first-hand visits across the capital, including the Stara Varoš konobas, the Bulevar coffee strip, the Krusevac diplomatic quarter and the Plantaže winery vaults south of the city.
Updated against the city's working rhythm
Podgorica runs on a different calendar to the coast. Restaurants, cafes and clubs work year-round; July and August are the quietest months as locals decamp to the Adriatic; the start of the academic year brings a noticeable lift in September. We refresh listings each quarter, walk the centre and Stara Varos monthly, confirm hours with owners by phone before the holiday weekends, and remove operators that have stopped returning calls.
