Podgorica Nightlife
Bars and Clubs in Podgorica
Nightlife in Podgorica covers Bulevar cocktail bars, late-night centre clubs, Stara Varos konoba terraces, beer taprooms and seasonal river-bank summer venues.
Nightlife in Podgorica runs on the working week rather than the cruise calendar. The cocktail-bar cluster sits along Bulevar Sveti Petar Cetinjski and the side streets off Trg Republike, with most rooms opening from sunset and running through past midnight; cocktails run four to eight euros, beers two to three. The late-night clubs concentrate in the centre and on the Bulevar's southern stretch, entry is rarely charged before one in the morning, then four to ten euros at the door for the main DJ nights between Thursday and Saturday. Live music is a steady part of the offer, with the city's youth-culture venues and a handful of smaller rooms programming through the academic year.
Stara Varos carries the quieter end. A small set of wine bars, konoba terraces and live-acoustic spots in the Ottoman lanes around the Sahat Kula give a slower evening with stone-walled rooms and outdoor seating from May through October. The seasonal terraces along Park Petrovica and the Moraca riverbank open from late spring and stay full through the warm evenings until mid-September. Year-round programme is the rule rather than peak season; the academic-year start in September and the December business close-out are the busiest stretches, while the city quietens in late July and early August as residents leave for the coast.
