Podgorica Hostels
Hostels in Podgorica
Hostels in Podgorica are concentrated near the central bus station and the railway station to the south of the centre, with one or two operating in the central quarters proper. Dorm beds run ten to fifteen euros a night, twin private rooms eighteen to thirty, and the larger hostels share kitchens, lounges, washing machines, secure luggage storage and twenty-four-hour reception with the desk staffed in English.
The traveller mix is split between the long-distance bus and rail traffic, visitors moving onward to Tirana, Pristina or the Adriatic coast, and the lighter slice of independent travellers stopping over for one or two nights in the capital. Booking is advisable through the September to October stretch and across May; December through February is quietest and walk-in is usually fine. Most hostels accept card payment but the smaller properties still prefer cash on arrival.
