Pizzerias arrived in Podgorica through the strong Italian and Adriatic-coast culinary thread that runs across the eastern Adriatic. Most rooms in the centre lean Neapolitan or Italian-Adriatic in style with thin bases, wood-fired ovens visible behind the counter and a focus on the classic margherita, capricciosa and quattro stagioni line.

The Bulevar and Slobode Avenue carry the dense centre cluster, with takeaway and delivery the norm at smaller neighbourhood pizzerias across the residential blocks. A medium pizza prices at five to nine euros in the family-run rooms across Tolosi and Zabjelo, eight to thirteen in the centre and the hotel kitchens. Most rooms take card payment and many deliver to the surrounding postcodes within thirty to forty-five minutes. Booking is rarely needed outside Friday and Saturday evenings.
