The same patron commissioned the Sahat Kula clocktower a few streets away, putting two of his foundations inside the old quarter.

The building survives as one of the two mosques still standing inside Stara Varoš and was restored with Turkish state support, returning the Ottoman stonework, prayer hall and minaret to a heritage condition.
